Echoes of a Wandering Mind
This page is simply a collection of quotes, phrases, verses, and random snippets that caught my attention at various stages of my life. IT MIGHT BE CRINGE. I just need a place to offload some of the clutter from my head. I’m human, and that’s perfectly normal.
One summer morning in early July, a long letter arrived from my girlfriend saying she wanted to break up with me. She wrote that she had loved me, still loved me, and would always love me… and so on. Basically, that kind of goodbye. She had found herself a new boyfriend. Shaking my head, I smoked six cigarettes, went outside and drank a can of beer, came back inside and lit up again. Then I snapped three long pencils that were lying on the desk. I wasn’t really angry. I just didn’t know what to do. In the end, I changed my clothes and went to work. (06.05.2026)

And I am a stack of hay,

To avoid ruining our beautiful tale, I’ll be a blind statue,
She doesn’t need my eyes anyway—she just needs to not tire of being mine.
But no matter how full our vessels may be,
Sooner or later, we will drain each other dry.
And you can’t see the stars reflected in dried-up puddles,
So leaving without slamming the door—is all you’re ready to offer me. (30.04.2026)
Later…
Later, the coffee gets cold,
Later, people grow old,
Later, life comes to an end.
And the truth is,
“Later” too often means “never.” (13.04.2026)
Two looked through a single window.
One saw rain and mud below.
The other saw the green leaves’ lace,
Springtime, and the blue sky’s grace.
Two looked through a single window. (04.04.2026)
(This is a translation to English from my native language. There is a very similar analogue in English: “Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one the stars.” But honestly, I love it less.)
What’s meant for you won’t pass you by. (28.03.2026)
Better a terrible end than an endless terror. (28.03.2026)
There is nothing wrong with you, buddy. You’re just painfully average. (26.03.2026)
